Assistant Cook - Various locations - Part Time - Enfield Council - Borough Station

£16,287 per annum pro rata

(£8.68 per hour excl London Living Wage. The current hourly rate is £9.40 inclusive of the London Living Wage, it must be emphasised that this allowance could be adjusted at any time).

Catering Services are looking for dynamic Assistant Cooks to work at the following school sites within the Borough of Enfield.

• Carterhatch Kitchen 30 hours per week
  

• St Edmunds Kitchen 25 hours per week
  

• Churchfield Kitchen 25 hours per week
  

• Honilands Kitchen 28.75 hours per week
  

• St Michael at Bowes 25 hours per week
  

The salary as advertised is for full time work, the positions offered are part time and term time, actual salary will be adjusted proportionately.

In order to be considered for an Assistant Cook position you will need:

• NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Catering, or equivalent, or willingness to train for this qualification
  

• Confidence and the ability to deputise for the Supervisor
  

• Proven excellence in cooking skills
  

• Willingness to assist with site level clerical duties including stocktaking and the cashless system
  

• Commitment in contributing to the catering mark standards (Soil Association)
  

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate which will need to be maintained
  

• Proven ability to work on your own initiative
  

• Good organisational and communication skills
  

• Good Knowledge of Health and Safety
  

• Knowledge of nutritional standards for school meals
  

• Excellent customer service skills
