Senior / Principal Acoustic Consultant

Salary: £45-55k

My client is a leading independent multidisciplinary consultancy for the built environment. They plan, design and manage real estate assets on a full range of projects from a network of offices in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior / Principal Acoustic Consultant to join our Acoustics group. The role involves varied work on high-profile projects, from inception through to completion in the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial sectors. Candidates will be expected to manage projects on time and within budget.

Coordination is required with other engineers within the company, so an appreciation of the needs and perspectives of other design disciplines is essential.

THE INDIVIDUAL

Applications are sought from candidates with 6+ years’ experience in the Building Services, Architectural, and/or Environmental consultancy arena, and have achieved a Bachelor degree in Acoustics or a closely related subject (e.g. Physics), or the IOA postgraduate Diploma.

Accreditation from the Association of Noise Consultants for undertaking pre-completion testing is essential, as is a valid driving licence, since the role will inevitably involve travel to sites and meetings. Candidates must also hold a full membership (MIOA) of the Institute of Acoustics.
