Graduate Training Scheme – Trainee Research Administrators
NIHR Clinical Research Network: North Thames
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals, who are keen to learn about research in healthcare, to join our newly established graduate training scheme in the Clinical Research Network North Thames. We are responsible for coordinating clinical research in the NHS across North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
You will need to be educated to degree level (minimum of a 2:1), be highly organised, an excellent communicator and demonstrate a clear desire to engage in further study and explore a career in clinical research. These posts are for two years, during which you will be expected to complete a part-time MSc in Clinical Research at UCL (with fees of up to £9,000 p.a. paid by the CRN) and work in a variety of areas with the CRN Core team and in Partner Organisations to gain experience of study set-up and management of research in the NHS to benefit patients.
You will need to be a good team player, have a flexible approach to working, and be able to undertake work placements in a variety of Trusts within the CRN: North Thames geography. Successful completion of the scheme will offer the potential for further employment in the CRN and opportunities to develop a career in non-clinical research or access further training to follow a more patient facing role.
