Manager, Child, Youth & Family Programming, Day Camps
Full Time – Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA & Library
Salary Range:  TBD          

Nature and Scope:



The Manager is responsible for ensuring service excellence in all child, youth and family programs. The successful candidate will oversee the supervision and safe operation of these programs; ensuring the YMCA of Western Ontario regulations, National YMCA standards, and  YMCA Priority: SAM (Serving All Members) expectations are met.



The Manager will give direct leadership to programs and services that include drop- in programs, instructional programs, specialty courses and sporting leagues and day camps.  The Manager will oversee all department staff and volunteers through development, training, coaching and program audits.



 



 
Responsibilities:


  • Recruitment, selection, training, scheduling and performance management of staff and volunteers in area


  • Provide direct leadership in the delivery of programs


  • Establish and implement staff/volunteer development and recognition plans and programs


  • Administrative duties including payroll, scheduling, monitoring waitlists, statistical reporting and analysis


  • Research current trends and develop new and innovative programming based on trends


  • Development and ongoing monitoring of budget


  • Assist with marketing and promotional efforts as related to programs


  • Work directly with various user groups


  • Respond to and proactively deal with members and potential issues of concern


  • Support all other service areas  while implementing Priority SAM


  • Participate on Stoney Creek Working Committee with partners from City of London and London Public Library to deliver Spectrum programming

 
Qualifications:

 


  • Post secondary degree/diploma in Recreation, Physical Education or related experience preferred


  • Minimum 2 years related work experience


  •  Minimum 2 years staff/volunteer supervisory experience


  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR certifications


  • Current Criminal Record check including Vulnerable Position Screening
