Controls Engineer
We are actively recruiting for an exciting Controls Engineer position with a London based automotive manufacturer. This is a permanent position with a global company with competitive salary, benefits, and room to grow.
The main focus of this position is to provide programming support for the plant to ensure safety, quality, uptime and performance goals are met, as well support new equipment and technology throughout the procurement and commissioning process.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Supporting engineering team in all aspects of control system design, configuration, integration, and commissioning/validation activities
• Support programming and configuring of automated controls systems including PLC, OPC Servers, SCADA, Historians, SPC, Machine Vision, etc.
• Support in development of automated system architecture functional and detailed design including both software/hardware requirements.
• Support in the creation or review of existing and new wiring/electrical diagrams,
• Interaction with project teams and evaluating and recommending technical solutions
• Obsolescence and life cycle management
• Train Electricians and other employees at various work stations on Controls related systems
• Perform major programming changes
• Provide a training plan for all industrial controls personnel, training standards
• Involved in the review and approval of new equipment.
Requirements:
-Electrical Engineering l or Mechatronics Engineering Degree
-8-10 year’s minimum of industrial controls experience. Siemens preferred.
3 years project management experience. PMP preferred.
3 years’ experience in a supervisor’s position. Automotive manufacturing preferred.
