Senior IFA Administrator / PA
The role would be to join a small team within the wider firm, working directly for the Director and with the Paraplanners in the team. Full PA duties and support to the Director, plus liaising with clients and providers, data gathering, meeting preparation, processing and tracking of new business as well as general administration for clients’ policies.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the accurate maintenance of client files
- Creation and updating of fact finds
- Ensuring all compliance requirements are satisfactorily fulfilled
- Preparing valuations and obtaining quotations
- Undertaking portfolio transactions
- Liaising with providers, preparing client documents
- Assist with the provision of admin support to the Director and servicing to a client
- Responsible for maintaining records regarding the Directors annual CPD and expenses
- Pre-meeting preparation for client meetings and post-meeting administration
- Diarising to ensure client paperwork and proposals move forward, obtaining letters of authority from clients
- Handling simple client queries in relation to administration
Person Specification:
- Minimum of certificate level financial planning qualifications (such as CertPFS or other appropriate level);
- Studying or willingness to study for further industry exams;
- Strong administrative skills;
- Good general knowledge and understanding of all investment, life and pensions products and legislation;
- 3 years minimum IFA industry experience;
- Providing full support to the team which will require strong organisational & admin skills
- Strong communication skills with providers, clients and within the company
- Being proactive with regard to industry changes and ensuring the team complies with FCA and internal compliance procedures
- Being familiar with the mainstream online provider platforms
- Excellent typing skills
- Good eye for detail
- Ensuring all correspondence and documents are checked for accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure using your own initiative
Additional Information:
- Based in London
- £32,000 – £34,000
- Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Contributory pension
