Systems Integration Developer / Infrastructure Automation Facilitator : Maplewood Computing Ltd.

Who We Are

Maplewood Computing Ltd. (Maplewood) has specialized in school administration software and services since 1980 and provides comprehensive solutions for schools, classrooms and district offices. There are now approximately 2,000 schools across Canada using Maplewood to run their schools. These schools are those in 65 school districts, along with over 200 independent schools. Recently, there has been significant growth in our hosting service, with over 1,200 schools now hosted on Maplewood servers in London, Ontario.

The Position

This position will provide a unique opportunity at Maplewood to work as both a developer and as an infrastructure support team member.  The development tasks will be related to helping our customers integrate our product with many third party integration solutions for transportation, student fee tracking, library system, etc.  The infrastructure support piece will come with aiding other team members in automating many common tasks that occur on a regular basis (automation of the process to upgrade certificates on dozens of windows services and web services which must happen on a yearly basis as an example).  There could also be the possibility of assuming maintenance programming rolls on existing internal legacy support applications or possibly the ability to work toward updating / replacing some of these tools.

Candidates will be responsible for a varied set of tasks which include but are not limited to:

Creating automation scripts for internal management tasks,

  • Automation of user management tasks,

  • Automation VM management tasks,

  • Automation of environment monitoring tasks.
