The Opportunity


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join this globally recognised CA firm, based in Christchurch.


Working as part of their Advisory team, you will gain exposure to a wide range of accounting projects, from local start up business through to some of New Zealand’s most well recognised corporates.


There is a strong commitment to professional development and in this role you will be given the responsibility of leading client meetings, providing mentorship to more junior staff and have the ability to work with established Directors and Partner on more complex projects.

Whilst they enjoy an international network, they are able to provide clients with a local service which has seen them develop a number of successful, longstanding client relationships.


The Role


This will be a varied role and the duties will include, but not be limited to;


  • Completing tax returns and tax compliance

  • Accounting for larger companies and non-company entities

  • Period & Management accounting

  • Occasionally working on secondment projects as required

  • Client management; query responses, providing solutions and maintaining good relationships

You Profile


  • 4+ years’ experience working within a Chartered Accountancy firm

  • Be working towards or have achieved CAANZ, CPA membership or similar

  • Strong systems skills and the ability to learn systems where required

  • Experience working with a variety of companies including different sizes and sectors

  • Have excellent communication skills and confident in presenting to clients
