Stock-Taker - OCS Retail Support - London E15

In this casual role, you will work as part of a team, to accurately count stock items and record this using a bar code scanner.

This work is carried out by OCS Retail Support on behalf of various Retail clients, ranging from high profile supermarkets to high street clothing, so you will be required to go to different sites on a day to day basis.

OCS will always aim to offer work as close to your local area as possible, however a number of counts will require some travelling, where transport may be provided dependent on your location.

Previous stock, audit or retail experience may be useful, however full training will be given, but you will need:

• A professional manner as you will be working on clients sites


• Good communication skills with the ability to actively respond to both verbal instructions and audible warning devices


• Good level of arithmetic, specifically multiplication


• Comfortable working with different teams and managers


• Willingness and ability to travel; company transport available from various pick up points in and around Stratford.

You should also note;

• This role is offered on a casual basis.


• Work is available from Monday – Sunday according to your flexibility and availability


• Hours of work are normally early morning (2am) to late evening (9pm)


• You will be guaranteed to work a minimum of 5 hours per shift but many shifts are longer

Please note all work will require prolonged periods of standing and some use of step stools and ladders. Some sites are in warehouses or large retail premises where you may be required to access and work with ground and high level stock or possibly outdoors.
