Shop Assistant - Alf Onnie - East Ham

We are looking for a shop assistant who has experience selling curtains and blinds.

You will have the opportunity to join our small London & Essex based curtain and blinds store with over 90 years of trading experience. We are a family business with strong and positive reputation within the local community. We offer a made to measure curtains and blinds installation and fitting service. With a wealth of experience behind us Alf Onnie can offer friendly, expert advice on all made to measure pelmets, curtains, blinds and valances.

You will:
Hold number and money handling skills:

• You’ll need to convert measurements and calculate estimates for curtains and blinds with a calculator.


• You’ll also be expected to use a cash machine, handling customers money.

Hold an understanding of curtains and blinds:

• You’ll be expected to recommend types of curtains, blinds, poles and relevant accessories that will best suit customers’ needs.

Have good customer service skills

On some occasions you may have to lift and carry heavy items when unpacking deliveries.
