Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering: Marwood Metal Fabrication
Marwood Metal Fabrication Limited, an automotive manufacturer, in Tillsonburg, ON area is looking to fill a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineering role in their HSE Department. This role will report to the Manager of Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and Training Services.

The ideal candidate will support and lead the Marwood operations in creating, promoting, maintaining, and overseeing all aspects of the Health, Safety & Environmental standards. .
General Responsibilities:
- Continually improves the overall H&S performance to contribute to business success and hold Leadership accountable for systematically managing H&S risks
- Achieves annual H&S performance improvement targets
- Delivers monthly reports and updates, works with Management to ensure effective communication of H&S information
- Audits results and reports performance to the Management Team
- Implements, develops, and executes necessary policies, procedures, work instructions, that conform to the facility’s H&S management system
- Manages the ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001 systems
- Participate in the delivery of training activities as they pertain to Health, Safety & Environmental
- Performs Risk / Hazard identification assessments / control
- Perform PDD and job risk analysis and inputs recommendations for continuous improvement
- Participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committees monthly meetings, follows up on identified deficiencies, evaluates concerns, communicates with all parties, safety inspections/walks, etc.
- Drive the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans
- Champions the Return to Work (RTW) process, WSIB Case Management, incident investigation, reporting, etc.
- Assists with development and establishment of company policies and procedures, Assists with administering required disciplinary / Corrective Action as required
- Oversees environmental and safety programs in context of compliance with government regulation.
- Participate on various engineering and manufacturing project teams, as needed.
Desired Education and experience:
- Post-Secondary Diploma / Degree in Occupational Health & Safety;
- CRSP designation, or working towards;
- Technical / mechanical aptitude, preferably from Post-Secondary education
- 3 to 5 years demonstrated Health and Safety experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Strong WSIB experience in claims management, RTW plans and strategies, NEER etc.
- Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, have good time management skills and work with little supervision.
