Being a Memory Maker as a Maintenance Manager
In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Maintenance in Radisson Blu Edwardian Sussex
To achieve hotel revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by directing the on-going maintenance and renovations of the hotel
Key Requirements
- Has advance knowledge of building management and engineering
- Has knowledge of how to maintenance boilers
- Is fully aware of health and safety procedures
- Has excellent organizational skills
- Understand the requirements for effective water management
- Has knowledge of how to maintenance various types of locks
- Has knowledge Environmental EHO acknowledgment
- Is able to perform electrical, plumbing, decoration and carpentry task
- Understands the basic housekeeping processes and procedures
- Excellent command of English language, ability to communicate effectively with guest and fellow colleagues
- Is confident in their ability to communicate and establish rapport with colleagues and guests
- Is able to improve decision making process by clarifying goals, sharing perspectives, identifying options and created a way forward.
- Has the ability to communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels.
- Is able to develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing reflective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning.

- Seeks opportunities to improve the customer experience by seeking customer feedback and reviewing management reports and developing strategies to improve department and hotel services

- Participates in the development of business strategies facilities which are aligned with the overall objectives of the hotel
- Develops and implements business strategies for department
- Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
- Directs the operation of the Maintenance Department
- Develops plan for completing routine maintenance and renovations and coordinates work with hotel department managers
- Identifies and selects vendors as appropriate
- Creates a safe environment for guests and employees by ensuring that the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards
- Serves as project manager for hotel renovations and coordinates project status with corporate technical services, architects, licensing agencies, contractors and hotel management
- Evaluates forecasted business and projects and schedules staff accordingly
- Ensures hotel adheres to all regulatory and safety standards by meeting with government and insurance inspectors and taking corrective actions as needed
- Keeps all mechanical, electrical and structural blue prints up to date
- Ensures that staff is up to date on certifications and training necessary to maintain operating systems
- Prepares engineering budget and monitors actual versus budgeted expenses and takes corrective actions when necessary
- Supervises and participates in maintenance work
- Supports and assists central teams when necessary
- Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can service and teamwork
- Uses teamwork to support guests and employees
- Provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver Yes I Can service and teamwork
- Recruits and selects qualified candidates
- Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
- Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
