Afternoon Shift: 4:00pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday



Overtime required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Accountable for operating CNC equipment, operating controls, deburring and inspection of quality parts



Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts



Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces



Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining



Communicates with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments



Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment



Required to comply with provincial and federal law, the Company Quality Program, company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations



May perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS



Must have high school diploma



Minimum 3-4 years experience preferred in set-up CNC lathes



Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments



Strong understanding in blue print reading/geometric tolerancing interpretation.



Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories



Able to follow written and oral instructions.



Ability to communicate in English (written and oral) as it relates to the job.



Must be adaptable to a changing work environment



Willing and able to work flexible shifts



Need to possess basic math skills and have good computer skills



CNC certificate/operator course an asset



Provide own safety boots and safety glasses
