Senior Mechanical Engineer: Callidus Engineering

Position Available:  One position for a Senior Mechanical Engineer

In this role you will work with the mechanical design staff providing leadership and technical design knowledge. 

Responsibilities may include:

• Reviewing and stamping projects of all complexity and sizes



• Directing design strategies/concepts on complex projects



• Providing technical leadership on the team; involved in the continuous development of standards and practices



• Mentoring intermediate engineers and designers



• Involvement in troubleshooting construction issues and travelling to site



• Other responsibilities as required

Required experience:

• Design experience with numerous central plant systems; boilers and chillers, water and steam systems



• Significant exposure to DDC control systems; writing sequence of operations and specifications, and troubleshooting on site issues



• Extensive code knowledge including but not limited to: OBC, ASHRAE standards, CSA standards, ASPE standards



• Design experience in hospitals, schools, and government buildings

Qualifications:

• Engineering license in Ontario with 10+ years of design experience in the building construction industry



• Pro-active approach to the work



• Ability to multi-task and be organized, especially under the stress of deadlines



• Strong leadership skills



• Effective communicator



• Strong desire to work within a team and develop the skills of the team
