Client Account Manager




NSL manages outsourced services in highly regulated environments used by the public and has over 70 clients (including Transport for London, DVLA, Westminster City Council and many NHS Trusts) and employ 5,200 people to fulfil services for these contracts. Success has led NSL to create three specialist sectors dedicated to core markets; Central Government, Local Government and Health.

Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for a Client Account Manager to support NSL’s Checking Service. This position will be filed based.


NSL Checking offers a fully managed Right to Work and Background Screening service including identity document verification/validation plus background, criminal and digital footprint record checks.


As a Client Account Manager you will serve as the primary contact and will be responsible for managing the on-going client contractual relationship and monitoring the operational delivery of the service, ensuring SLA’s / KPI’s are met or exceeded.


Key elements of the role


Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with our Clients to demonstrate our performance and understand their needs
Maintains tight operational control and ensure that operational teams (and any suppliers/subcontractors) have a clear understanding of client requirements
To contribute to all operational mobilisation plans and actions
To ensure adherence and compliance with all managerial standards and policies
Manage key supplier relationships
Provide vetting expertise and support to the Shared Service Centre team
Communicates effectively within the direct and indirect teams, ensuring two way dialogue is maintained
Contribute to the EBITDAO targets
Be accountable for cost control, where applicable
Ensures the relevant invoices are raised to our clients in a timely manner
Manage supplier invoices in line with company policy
Contribute in producing provisional budgets each year and forecast activities that may impact EBITDAO and take a proactive approach to minimise the impact
Provide administrative support for the client and supplier relationship management process

The ideal candidate


Experience of working in similar position essential
Stakeholder management
Experience of working in SLA/ KPI driven environment
Customer service experience
Understanding of ‘Right to Work’ checks ideal but not essential
Have a full driving licence, allowing you to drive in the UK


In return for your time and hard work


£32,000 – £35,000 per annum
25 days per annum plus bank holidays
Car or car allowance
