Insurance and Investment Actuary - Government Actuary's Department - London EC4A





The Insurance and Investment team within GAD have a wide variety of actuarial experience and use this to advise UK central government departments on areas of risk and uncertainty. The available role within the team will focus on insurance advice to UK central government and advice on disaster risk financing in relation to developing countries.

The role provides an opportunity to apply actuarial and insurance expertise to contexts distinct from those found elsewhere. Not only is the type of work varied but our public sector clients have different skills and knowledge than typical actuarial clients.


Please see attached job description. Qualifications •Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent actuarial qualification, ideally with a general insurance specialism and/or experience in disaster risk financing. Competencies
