The School of Science is seeking to appoint an outstanding full time Science lecturer in Biological Chemistry.
We are looking for someone who will:
>Inspire a love for learning of the Sciences
>Perform at the highest level to maximise the potential of students
>Promote the profile of Science within school and beyond
>Maximise achievement through developing excellent relationships with students and staff
>Further enhance a culture of high motivation and aspiration within the Science department
>Ensure that learners develop their Maths & English skills in Science
>Develop essential study skills to enable learners to achieve their full potential and progress successfully to FE/HE/Employment
>Teach Chemistry & Biology modules; these include level 1- 3 BTEC Science and L3 Access courses across a range of ages and abilities.
You will join an experienced team of staff within the Science school and work in specialist laboratories, utilising the range of resources available to bring the subject to life.
You should ideally have industry experience in Science and hold a PGCE teaching qualification, QTS/QTLS. Also, you should have Level 2 qualifications or equivalencies in numeracy and literacy, if not you will be expected to achieve these qualifications, for which support will be given.
