Maintenance Manager : Agropur

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of maintenance with respect to the physical plant, packaging machinery, and material handling equipment. This position also focuses on continuous improvements to processes and packaging methods by utilizing a preventative maintenance strategy and sound relationships within the organization to provide a high degree of operational reliability, product and employee safety. 

 

Specifically, the Maintenance Manager:

 

• Assists in the maintenance of high standard of sanitation, housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the process facilities and adjoining grounds, by managing the work of all maintenance employees; 



• Carries out various improvements at the request of users relating to productivity, quality and health and safety;



• Purchases all maintenance materials within the established budget;



• Leads and motivates a team of eight direct reports through pro-active communications, employee involvement and participation, individual feedback and appraisal; application of policies and sound employee relations practices.

 

 

 

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering: an equivalent combination of training and work experience might also be considered;



• You cumulate five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility;



• Expertise in instrumentation, control and robots;



• Proven record of leadership, communication and organizational skills;



• Knowledge of the food sector would be considered an asset;
