Receptionist / Concierge - Homeless Hostel
Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of one of the world’s most recognisable charities who are looking for a Receptionist / Concierge to provide customer services, security and receptionist support to their supported housing / homeless hostel facilities.
Working as part of a small, friendly and busy office support team, interested candidates will need similar reception experience and be well versed at being the first point of call for a variety of enquiries.

Full Time, Permanent
£18,600 per annum
37.5 hours per week: Mon – Fri, afternoon shift from 2.30pm-10pm
Ealing – West London
Location easily accessible and in close vicinity to London Underground, main line railway and bus routes.
Duties will include:
- Providing a professional and welcoming environment for all
- Maintaining administrative tasks to support ht efficient running of the hostel
- The delivery of the highest levels of good customer service
- Maintain levels of safety, security, cleanliness and tidiness within the reception area
- Act as a central point for customers and any external agencies
- Be aware of the general wellbeing of the customers – highlighting any concerns to relevant staff members
- Be responsible for any cash transactions
We are ideally looking for candidates with an interest or detailed understanding of vulnerable group and in particular the needs of homeless people.
This is a super role for an experienced front of house receptionist, concierge or security professional with direct experience of a customer facing role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience of working in a receptionist / customer facing role
- Experience of working with people who may display challenging behaviour
- High levels of administrative skills
- Experience of liaising with external agencies such as health care professionals
- Experience of handling cash transactions and following appropriate procedures
- An understanding of the roots of homelessness
- An understanding of the support needs of vulnerable people
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
