As the Technical Leader you will provide production support and coordinate the work of the engineering department working on process development for new product and process improvement for existing product lines, while supervising day-to-day engineering functions
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods – including but not limited to CNC mills, lathes, automation, assembly, press, (raw material castings & forgings)


  • Provide guidance regarding design/manufacturing concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques


  • Coordinate engineering support of lean manufacturing activities and initiatives


  • Maintain records and reporting system for coordination and evaluation of product performance vs. estimates in order to evaluate variances


  • Assist the manufacturing department in the development of processes, tooling and procedures to produce the required products


  • Conduct a continuous search of new materials, processes and procedures to enhance and improve the production lines


  • Act as liaison with engineering personnel, equipment suppliers, raw material suppliers and customers in releasing new products into production. 



    Prepare budgets, schedules and justifications to maintain and develop new/existing product lines


  • Manage and coordinate budget for capital expenditure


  • Assist sales in presentations, technical requirements and general advertising literature.



    Evaluate customer concepts and part prints for feasibility

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or related Engineering field


  • Comprehensive manufacturing engineering experiences, including standard developments, equipment justifications, plant layouts and facilities design in manufacturing industries


  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards and ISO/TS 16949, ISO9001, PPAP, FMEA, project management tools and techniques


  • Experiences managing portfolio of manufacturing engineering projects in a setting having CNC equipment, automation, and assembly producing finish product from concept/part print using casting and forge raw material

About the Job

Some excellent and exciting opportunities have arisen for a number of Train Service Manager positions within our team at Kings Cross. The purpose of the Train Service Manager is to deliver the day to day train service plan according to the timetable across defined geographical areas in the GTR network. Working closely with your Train Service Manager colleagues, you will be responsible for meeting any daily challenges that arise from infrastructure constraints relayed by Network Rail through to train failures and managing these incidents to ensure our operational plan is delivered. The Train Service Manager positions are one of the most challenging roles within our control centres. We require individuals who can handle a fast paced, quickly changing environment and can meet this with a proactive approach to think ahead and strategically plan for the next challenge just around the corner. The successful individuals will play a major part in delivering some of GTRs daily performance targets and ensuring our customers get to their destinations in all types of challenging situations.


The successful candidates will have a responsibility for delivering excellent train service performance across the GTR network. Key challenges of the role include:


  • Reviewing the daily train service plan and implementing any required changes due to fleet and crew availability.

  • Liaising with Network Rail to develop and implement on the day very short term train plans as necessary for train services in order to balance the fleet and crew to deliver the required daily timetable.

  • Working closely with Network Rail stakeholders to understand infrastructure restrictions and the impact on train services and developing and implementing alterations to train services to maximise the use of available network.

  • Continually improve the customer journey experience through taking ownership of key service groups and developing the process of service recovery and operational management as appropriate.

About You


You will need to possess and be able to demonstrate:


  • Several years’ experience within an operational environment, working within teams to deliver operational plans.

  • Proven experience of working within a highly pressurised and fast paced environment and a good knowledge and understanding of how to implement and utilise operational procedures.

  • Proven experience of working within a team to deliver joint goals and objectives.

  • Good knowledge of the railway network in the GTR network and an understanding of railway standards and processes.

  • A strong leader, able to influence and persuade key stakeholders to deliver the best service and performance levels across the GTR network for customers.

  • Highly proficient in end-to-end data warehouse development with focus on requirement gathering, designing, developing and deploying BI solutions.


  • Expert data modelling skills


  • Analytical problem-solving skills, able to quickly identify and troubleshoot technical challenges.


  • Strong communication and organization skills. 


  • Able to work under pressure managing multiple competing priorities and quickly adapting to emerging priorities.

Technical Specialist: Western University

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools. The Faculty has more than 130 full-time faculty, 65 staff full-time, 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students). Within the Dean’s Office, the Technology Support Team provides cost-effective technology solutions and support to faculty, staff and students for the use and maintenance of technology and systems to support the teaching, learning, research and administrative needs of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

 

The Technical Specialist is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all information technology needs and inventory for the Faculty of Health Sciences (over 700 PCs). The incumbent provides support to faculty, staff and students including assistance with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, educational technology, audio and video technology and configuring the required applications for the use within FHS. In addition, the incumbent analyses business needs, develops solutions and lead projects to address customer requests and resolve issues.

 

The Technical Specialist provides software license management for FHS, asset management and support existing and new desktop computers and peripherals. The incumbent will supervise, guide and monitor the activities of the Client Support Specialist in Elborn College regarding technical issues. The Technical Specialist works closely with the Director of Administration to ensure required services are available and assists with planning for hardware/resource enhancements to implement, maintain and administer resources necessary to support the academic, administrative, and research technical needs of the Faculty.

 
Qualifications
Education:

–   3 year Community College Diploma in Computer Programming, Computer Systems, Information Management or Information Technology

–   University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred

 
Experience:

–   5 years’ current computer support experience including a variety of operating systems software, hardware, application software, and networking experience with laptops, mobile devices and servers

–   2 years’ customer service experience

–   Previous technical support experience with Western’s major ITS services and applications is preferred

 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

–    Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service directly and indirectly to satisfy those expectations

–   Proven ability to interact with faculty, staff and students in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner

Westminster City Council and CNWL MH Trust are setting up a new Dual Diagnosis Team in Westminster. This is an exciting time to join the team and be involved in developing the service which will work with service users with severe and enduring mental health needs as well as substance use needs. The focus of the team’s work will be on the substance use needs of service users.

The Team will consist of a Team Manager managing both the Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea Team; a Team Leader to manage the day to day work in Westminster; three qualified dual diagnosis workers; and a peer support worker. You will be based in one of the Community Mental Health Teams and will provide assessment and ongoing work with service users from all the Mental Health Teams; advice, support and training to mental health staff; contribute to the Trust’s policies and developments regarding dual diagnosis.


You will need to have a relevant professional qualification and significant post qualification experience in either mental health or substance use services. You will also need to have an understanding of the issues faced by service users with a dual diagnosis.

Role:



Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, the Procurement Analyst is responsible for effectively maintaining inventory and service levels to enhance the sales and profitability of the OPCO.


Role Responsibilities:



  •          Timely product replenishment in E3 purchasing system


  •          Ensure that regular E3 maintenance schedules are forecasting updates


  •          Processing advanced orders


  •          Process all special orders, drop shipments and inter-branch orders


  •          Review daily product lines and determine quantities required to meet the customer needs and  that service levels remain consistent.


  •          Monitor and confirm receipt of outstanding purchase orders


  •          Balance quantities of product required and ensure excess and obsolete inventory are as low as              possible.


  •          Processing of approved items for listing.


  •          Assist in maintaining accurate invoice costing in the costing system


  •          Follow up with vendors concerning shortages and service level issues


  •          Provide support to all Marketing Associates and Account Executives with regards to product      pricing, sourcing and product information     


  •          Help to keep information in E3 current and ensure correct vendor information and lead times.


  •          Any other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:


  •          College certificate, Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent experience


  •          Minimum of 1+ year’s work experience in an administrative or customer service role


  •          Knowledge of the Food Services Industry


  •          Wholesale Purchasing background is an asset


  •          Proficient with Microsoft Office suites & Internet


  •          Excellent planning, organizational, communication & interpersonal skills


  •          Ability to manage multiple tasks, establish priority and work under pressure to meet deadlines


  •          Self-motivated with the ability to consistently show initiative

JOB DESCRIPTION


Geography teacher for an exceptional school based in West London. This post is to start in September 2016 and can be on a full time. They are looking for a teacher to teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The school has a fantastic Humanities faculty the school has the capacity of a position of responsibility for a suitably qualified applicant, and Geography is a popular option at A Level with in the school. The school is looking to meet teachers over the summer break or the first week back in September.


SCHOOL INFORMATION


The school is based in a lovely area in West London and the school was rated as “Outstanding” by OFSTED in its last inspection. As a Customer Care Assistant, think of yourself as the face of your restaurant. In a nutshell, you’ll deal with customers and make sure everything runs as it should in the customer areas.
