The Business Office is primarily responsible for accurate and timely processing of patient, diagnostic and



sundry billings as well as recording the related Revenue and Asset journal entries. The department is also



responsible for processing physician professional diagnostic payments. The Business Office team



represents the organization through direct interaction with patients, insurance companies and the Ontario



Ministry of Health regarding patient product and service billings and collection.



Reporting to the Coordinator, Business Office, the Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for



patient invoice processing ensuring accurate application of complex billing rules. The role is responsible



for timely receipt of patient account payments from a variety of sources. The Accounts Receivable



Representative is also responsible for account collection activities including follow up on outstanding



patient accounts, bad debt entries and assignment to collections.


Regular Full-Time



Rate of Pay: $21.919/hour – $23.497/hour



Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week


Qualifications:


·Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent acceptable to the hospital



·Successful completion of a Diploma in Accounting or related field



·Successful completion of a Degree in a related field preferred



·Minimum of one (1) year recent, related experience



·Previous accounts receivable experience preferred



·Demonstrated proficiency with email, word processing (MS Word), and spreadsheets (MS Excel)



applications



·Experience with accounts receivable (Infor HRCM) and general ledger (PeopleSoft) applications



preferred



·Excellent verbal and written communication skills



·Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
