Accounting Manager: People Management Group Inc.

Our client located in the Woodstock area is seeking an Accounting Manager.

The Role… 



As the successful candidate you will report directly to the VP of Finance, but will develop respectful and trusting relationships with all members of the leadership team.  In this role you will:

• Maintain up to date and accurate financial statements



• Analyze data and financial statements for accuracy ensuring that variances are explained and deadlines have been met



• Prepare and review audit schedules



• Make recommendations for and implement enhancements to accounting processes and procedures



• Identify cost savings opportunities and provide support to vendor negotiations



• Supervise the accounting department by providing guidance, coaching and support to members of the team



• Tax filing including HST, WSIB, EHT and payroll deductions



• Work with sales and marketing teams to develop financial plans in line with business goals

 
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• Post-Secondary University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other related field.



• Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)



• 5-7 years’ of Accounting experience



• At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role



• Excellent communication and people management skills



• Organized with the ability to multi-task and work under the pressure of deadlines



• Team oriented
