Senior Application Support Analyst- Team Lead – Financial Services – up to £65k plus bonus

As a preferred recruitment supplier to this investment brokerage organisation, we are assisting in the search for a Senior Application Support Analyst to manage and lead a small team and support the ongoing development and improvements of trading platform systems and applications. You will report to the Head of IT and provide support in the form of 2nd and 3rd line support of business applications, assisting the development of trading software, creating / preparing document test plans and test cases, you will be responsible for assisting the development teams and work on the ongoing running of the organisations applications to ensure business requirements are met. This is a senior position and you will be managing a small team of technical individuals and therefore you will need to be able to represent your team and deal with senior stakeholders from development (head of development), testing and integration.

Skills / Environment
-Senior Application Support and strong knowledge of financial applications in either equities, exchange traded derivatives or FX
-Reuters trading. CME Select, CQG, Fastfill, Flextrade, Bloomberg
-Experience supporting some of the following: – Sungard GMI, Fidessa, Swift, Ateo, FIX Connectivity, STP / Middle office functions
-Supporting Development teams and everyday operation requirements (system enhancements)
-2rd and / or 3rd line support of trading applications and systems
-Application capacity planning
-ITIL Application service transition
-Team leadership and management
-Project Management of application support development – planning and support, configuration, service validation, change management

Technical Skills – Need experience with some of the following
-.Net
-Microsoft BI
-T-SQL / Ruby
-Excel VBA
-SSRS
-IIS Management / Configuration

Salary – Up to £65,000 plus bonus and benefits
