Levi Roots Caribbean Smokehouse is bringing the best jerk chicken to the heart of London. The mood is upbeat and the food is fresh and authentic. As a Kitchen Assistant/Commis Chef you will be joining a new exciting concept in premium casual dining. We are rolling out across the UK with our first site now open at Westfield Stratford City. You will help us build the No.1 Caribbean brand in the UK. We will provide a uniquely happy workplace where everyone works as a team and everyone is able to progress to the best of their abilities. Along the way, we will also provide you with world-class training. The role You will be working with fresh food, combining smokehouse with Caribbean cuisine and using cutting edge equipment in a state of the art kitchen. As an authentic smokehouse we are using first class industrial smokers and real wood burning fire pits. You will be supporting your section but you will also ensure the smooth running of the entire back of house operations. You will be provided with full training and development to progress to a Line Chef within an appropriate timescale.

Minimum 12 months in a casual dining environment where high quality food is prepared Demonstrate potential to run a busy section
Commitment to ensuring the highest standards on Health & Safety and food hygiene
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions and work effectively in teams
An understanding and passion for Caribbean cooking a distinct advantage Passionate about developing your career with us
